From local WA artist Mary Louise Macauley, this Illustrated A5 Postcard of Perth, features all the highlights of Perth.

Louise Macaulay is a Canadian born, Australian artist. Having spent nearly two decades in Australia, Louise has developed a style of art which represents the Australian landscape, influenced by her Canadian roots.

In 2022, the Perth map was created also by utilising various conventional techniques such as scratchboard, watercolour, hand lettering and digital illustration. All maps in their final stages, are composed in photoshop.

Louise arrived in Perth in Sept 2022 and immediately set about creating an illustrated map. The first step was researching the area by attending several free walking tours hosted by the Information centre, spending time in some of the main attractions, researching indigenous culture, names, plants and birds. Speaking with Aboriginal elders and youth about the sacredness of the land.
